Previous NAB payments product head Paul Franklin has started working on the delivery of the Consumer Data Right (CDR), which will first roll out in the banking sector, otherwise known as open banking.
Mr Franklin is said to have more than 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, having also been involved in the development of Australia’s New Payments Platform.
With the appointment, Scott Gregson, executive general manager of merger and authorisation review has transitioned away from CDR duties.
The launch of open banking, which will force the big four banks to share consumer data, was recently delayed until July from its original February deadline.
