Stirling Mortlock, who was most recently a wealth director within NAB's global institutional bank, will lead Stockspot's partnership program in a consulting role.

Mr Mortlock, who made 80 appearances for the Wallabies between 2000 and 2009, was most recently a senior manager within NAB's corporate superannuation business.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Mortlock said he "very much wanted" to be involved in robo-advice, which he described as the "future of investing and portfolio management".

"Chris [Brycki] and the Stockspot team have created a fantastic investment experience that is transparent, low-fee and unbiased.
